Summary of Overseas Projects

 

In UAE, since 2003, the group contracted the Ali Fardan building project; Marsa building project, Shajha bridge project, and the contract value are respectively $3.29million, $4.884million, $308 thousand. In 2005, the group won two building projects: 2B+G+10 and B+G+6 building projectswhose contract values are respectively $8.86milion and $10.61million.

In KSA, the group won Tareeg-Saree No 1 highwayproject in 2001 and set up theproject headquarters directly under the group. The project is the first large scope overseas project contracted by the group independently and the contract value is 24.9million US Dollars equivalent. The main works are: subgrade base and sub-base: 630thousand square meters; asphalt base: 187.7thousand square meters; asphalt pavement: 197.3 thousand square meters; upper-structure concrete: 6700 cubic meters; concrete protection wall:4000 linear meters; reinforcement bars : 1242 tons; landscaping, drainage, lighting, signals and other ancillaries. The project was completed in October 2003.

At present, the project under construction is extension of Hamza highwaycontracted in May 2003.The project value is 16million US Dollars equivalent and the total length is 1599m, including a 350m long and 34.7m wide bridge(the height is 70m and pile length is 30m).

In Madagascar, the group won the No 3 contract of 1# highway and No 4 contract of 8# highwayin 2004. The two contracts are 276.138km and the values are 12.55million US Dollars and the construction period is from December2004 to June 2006.

In India, the joint venture set up by the group together with SCL company won a dam project in 2004. The main works of the project are: design and construction of civil works, mechanical works related to dam lock gate, device and ancillaries. The contract value is 58.28million US Dollars.

In Thailand, the group won a resort village project in 2004 which includes 70 villas with the construction area of 16400 square meters and the contract value is 15million US Dollars equivalent. In addition the group sub contracted the Bangkok light rail project from Simenz Thailand company and the contract value is 42.28million US Dollars with construction period from September 2005 to March 2007.

In Sudan, the group has contracted a dam power transmission project. The main works are 2432km 500KV power transmission line laying. The contract value is 18.3million US Dollars equivalent and the construction period is from December 2004 to December 2006.

In addition, the group has contracted two foreign aid project: a dam project in Mauritania and a dam project in Tunis. The contract values are $ 1.8million and $12.66million respectively.
